Some of the oldest Semillon vines are found in Franschhoek. This new varietal in our winery started as a collaboration project, the GD1 project, with a collection of wineries to create a Semillon of Franschhoek. The project involved all the wineries harvesting on the same day and at the same time but processing individually thereafter. The finished wine from each winery was then blended together.
