The weather is cooling down in the Franschhoek wine valley, and with that comes new ways to enjoy time at Haute Cabrière. Cooler weather means time for red wines, heart-warming dishes and new ways to celebrate Cap Classique and time together.

For the perfect Sunday – just add bubbles!
As promised, each month we’re celebrating the fact that Cap Classique has been made in South Africa for 50 years. So, our Sunday brunch will now include what no brunch is complete without … our Pierre Jourdan Cap Classique paired with each dish on the menu. Sit back, relax and enjoy good food, good company, and the perfect glass of bubbles, it’s how Sundays were always meant to be.

Become your own Masterchef with our live cooking demos hosted by Chef Nic van Wyk on select Thursdays.
We’re all about the true marriage of food and wine. True magic that happens when a dish finds its perfect pair and it’s something we love to share.
You’ll be welcomed by a sabrage to commence the class, a practice our founder, Achim von Arnim, pioneered in South Africa and is something you’ll definitely want to experience at least once. Chef Nic van Wyk will then cook up a storm and talk you through how to do it at home, followed by lunch in the terrace restaurant. You’ll receive the recipe to take home, as well as a host of happy memories and Instagram-worthy moments.

Life is made up of moments, and music is the melody that brings them together. While our restaurant covers artistry on the plate, and our Cellar Master creates poetry in each bottle, our new live music (we’re toying with the idea of throwing a comedian in the mix too!) evenings on select Saturdays brings them together in a symphony of creativity.
On select days this Autumn, enjoy breads and spreads from the bakery to start, a choice of mains, and homemade macarons with coffee for dessert.
