The marriage of food & wine in Pretoria

Haute Cabrière food and wine

While our beautiful winery is based in the Western Cape, we are humbled by the support and shared love of our wines throughout South Africa.

We are always looking for an opportunity to bring the best of Franschhoek to doorsteps around the country, and in April you will find us in Pretoria for a special collaboration this April…

Kleine Zalze Winemaker Alastair Rimmer from Stellenbosch

We are teaming up with Kleine Zalze, from the neighbouring wine route of Stellenbosch, who were awarded the John Platter Winery of the Year. At Haute Cabrière, we’re taking the year to appreciate and celebrate Cap Classique, which has been created in South Africa for 50 years. This style is very near and dear to our hearts with our founder, Achim von Arnim, having played an influential role in the history of this wine style. So there’s a lot to celebrate!

To bring the experience full circle, and showcase the true marriage of food and wine, Chef Nic van Wyk will be creating a menu centred around our Pierre Jourdan range of Cap Classiques, as well as with Kleine Zalze’s Vineyard Selection range of still wines. An event not to be missed!

Our Cellar Master, Takuan von Arnim, and Kleine Zalze’s Winemaker, Alastair Rimmer, will be on hand to share their passion for wine, and the magic that happens with a true culinary marriage.

After 2020 decided to think outside of the box, 2021 is about togetherness, sharing and remembering what to be thankful for, not to mention catching up with family & friends.

We cannot wait to share the best of Franschhoek and the best of Stellenbosch, atop Moonshot Café overlooking the Pretoria skyline, in a series of dinners not to be missed.
