As we move into the summer and festive season, we are thrilled to celebrate a remarkable year of awards, ratings, and critical acclaim for Haute Cabrière in 2025.
Our teams have poured passion, expertise, and care into every bottle, and it is a joy to see our wines recognised among South Africa’s finest by critics and wine lovers alike. We are so proud of our team for their achievements in Haute Cabrière’s awards, phenomenal ratings, reviews and medals.
We’ve also enjoyed a year of growth and achievements as a wine estate. Pierre Jourdan received a stunning packaging design makeover to reflect a new chapter of classic elegance with modern finesse. We also introduced the Pierre Jourdan Silk Nectar! An exciting milestone for our winery and a smash hit amongst Cap Classique drinkers in South Africa. So watch this space as we continue to craft wines for your moments.
We are exceptionally proud that our new nectar Cap Classique, Pierre Jourdan Silk Nectar, was the only recipient of a Gold medal in the nectar category at this year’s Veritas Awards. Our Pierre Jourdan Blanc de Blancs also continues to shine bright with a Gold medal.
Our flagship Pierre Jourdan Blanc de Blancs 2020 was awarded Gold at the Amorim Cap Classique Challenge, a recognition of its finesse, vibrant citrus profile, and seamless traditional bottle fermentation. Inspired by the Le Mesnil-sur-Oger region of France, this 100% Chardonnay Cap Classique is a testament to our pursuit of sparkling perfection.
Our wines continue to perform strongly on the international stage with medals and points at the 2025 Gilbert & Gaillard Awards that demonstrate quality and consistency.
Pierre Jourdan Blanc de Blancs 2020 | 92/100, Double Gold.
Haute Cabrière Chardonnay Réserve | 88/100, Gold.
Haute Cabrière Unwooded Chardonnay | 87/100, Gold.
The Haute Cabrière Pinot Noir Réserve 2021 was recognised with a Gold medal, one of only nine to achieve this honour at the 2025 Pinot Noir Challenge. The judges praised its harmony, structure, and textural depth, noting its ability to drink beautifully now or develop gracefully with time.
Our Haute Collection Pinot Noir has been recognised as the Best Pinot Noir in Franschhoek at South Africa’s Terroir Awards. Crafted to showcase our high-density single-block vineyard planted in 1991, this Pinot Noir exemplifies precision and elegance. Low yields create an intense, concentrated fruit profile and refined character. This wine showcases the versatility and depth of the valley, offering structure, ageing potential, and a stunning expression of Franschhoek terroir.
Haute Cabrière is proud to shine once again in the Tim Atkin Special South Africa Report 2025. For a third consecutive year, our Haute Collection Amphora Chardonnay 2024 achieved an extraordinary 95 points, cementing its status among the best in South Africa.
Haute Collection Amphora Chardonnay 2024 | 95 points.
Haute Collection Chardonnay 2024 | 94 points.
Haute Collection Pinot Noir 2024 | 93 points.
Haute Cabrière Chardonnay Réserve 2024 | 92 points.
Haute Cabrière Pinot Noir Réserve 2021 | 90 points.
Haute Cabrière Arnim Family Réserve 2022 | 90 points.
These accolades are more than recognition – they’re an invitation to enjoy the best wines of South Africa. As the days grow longer and we gather with friends and family, now is the time to share, taste and savour. Whether you’re choosing a bottle to enjoy now or cellar for the future, our Pierre Jourdan Cap Classiques, legacy wines from the Haute Collection and Franschhoek Reserves should be wherever memories are being made.
